Some new changes have been made at Exodus and one of them is the integration of the Wobble Chair. Although the name may sound silly, the purpose and science behind it is real!
The Wobble Chair is just what it sounds like. It is a specifically designed chair that “wobbles” to prepare your body to receive an adjustment. When you come in for an appointment, you simple sit in the chair for 2 minutes and “wobble.”
How does it work?
The chair creates a special movement, loading and unloading on your spinal joints. This movement triggers your body to pump nutrients into the spinal cord while at the same time activating core musculature. This helps to prepare your body for an adjustment, making it more effective.
Before an adjustment in phase 2 and 3, it is important to produce a fluid exchange in your spinal cord. Since spinal discs do not have their own blood supply, there has to be another way to pump nutritious fluids and oxygen into the discs and then squeeze out the waste. While physical activity is one way to create this pumping force, one of the best ways, according to world-renown researcher and orthopedic surgeon Vert Mooney, M.D., is loading and unloading the lumbar discs. This is exactly what the Wobble Chair does!
This pumping of nutrients and oxygen not only helps get you ready to see the doctor, but it also helps in healing and maintaining healthy disc structure.
